Todos Santos is home to numerous fine artists. Many have galleries in town or in their homes. Galería de Todos Santos and La Coronela feature multiple artists. Jill Logan, N.E. Hayles, Charles Stewart, Fidencio Romero and Catherine Wall all have galleries showcasing their personal art. Other artists are not so easy to locate in Todos Santos. You have to look to find them. They work behind fruit stands, have day jobs as cooks, own bed and breakfast inns, sell real estate, or operate the town's classiest accommodations. Writer C. M. Mayo, in her new book detailing a 1996 visit to Todos Santos, quotes Michael Cope of Galería de Todos Santos (referring to the artist colony),
The print edition of El Calendario de Todos Santos has detailed information and up-to-date maps that will help you locate all the art galleries in town. It also features a Baja artist's works every issue. Be sure to pick up the latest edition when you visit - it will help you meet the people. Below is a list of selected artists / galleries which have street addresses and are easy to locate.. |

| Todos Santos is located on the Tropic of Cancer in the
southern portion of the Baja Peninsula in Mexico just one hour north of
Cabo San Lucas and one hour south of La Paz. Long known as a cultural, artistic
and agricultural center, the town is a desert oasis, 1 kilometer from the
Pacific Ocean at the foothills of the Sierra de La Laguna mountains. Since
the mid 1980's, the area has become a tourist/retirement destination and
home to numerous art galleries and artists. |
