Todos Santos is home to numerous fine artists. Many have galleries in town or in their homes. Galería de Todos Santos and La Coronela feature multiple artists. Jill Logan, N.E. Hayles, Charles Stewart, Fidencio Romero and Catherine Wall all have galleries showcasing their personal art.

Other artists are not so easy to locate in Todos Santos. You have to look to find them. They work behind fruit stands, have day jobs as cooks, own bed and breakfast inns, sell real estate, or operate the town's classiest accommodations.
Writer C. M. Mayo, in her new book detailing a 1996 visit to Todos Santos, quotes Michael Cope of Galería de Todos Santos (referring to the artist colony),
"I've seen people stand in the middle of the street and say, where is it?" Michael chuckled. "They come up from Cabo for the day and all they see are a few old buildings and dirt streets. Years ago the Mexican government started calling this an artist community. It was an area that was beautiful, by the sea. It would be nice. Now the newspapers are saying that Todos Santos is going to be the new Taos, New Mexico, the new Carmel. There are a lot of artists here - painters, writers, musicians. But you're not going to find them in a store on the corner. And anyway, you want fine art, not poster shops.
"An artist community is a way of life, a place where people live and produce. If you want to find the artist community you … have to meet the people."

Self proclaimed founding artist of the ex-pat artist community. Living in Todos Santos full time since 1986, Charles Stewart paints in oils and watercolors and sculpts with wood. Open daily, 9 am - 5pm.

Featuring drawings, paintings and sculptures of fine Baja artists including Derek Buckner, Carlos Uroz, Anibal Angulo and many others. In 1994, Michael and Pat Cope created the first fine arts gallery in Todos Santos - a must see! Open daily, 10 am - 4 pm.

Calle Cuauhtémoc Final
Living in Todos Santos since 1990, and showing her art since 1995, she is known for her unique paper tile mosaics. Recently she has begun creating ceramic tile mosaics and oil paintings. Open Monday - Saturday, 11 am - 4 pm or by appointment.

Featuring the art of La Paz artist Gabo. Open Monday - Saturday, 10 am - 4 pm.
Calle Benito Juárez #4
Catherine Wall has lived and worked here since 1999. She paints Mexican scenes, landscapes and portraits in oil. Open Monday - Saturday, 11 am - 4 pm or by appointment.
Calle Baja California Sur near Calle Punta Lobos
After arriving in Southern Baja in 1986 via sailboat, Margaret McGall settled here and began making painted ceramic tiles. Now she sketches and paints watercolors. Open by appointment.

Featuring the leather engravings and drawings of Max Uranga. Various other Mexican artists are also displayed. Open Monday - Saturday, 11 am - 4 pm.
